All Hunter Douglas® XL panels are based on composite technology that originate from the aircraft industry. This state of the art technology results in extremely flat panels.

Pre-coated aluminium skins are roll-formed and integrated with honeycomb reinforcement and aluminium fixing extrusions.

Characterisitcs:

• The composite technology construction enables to produce extra large panels that remain flat, light and only need few supporting points.
• This proprietary construction method allows the designer to almost ignore the span of the material giving him an enormous amount of freedom in creating his designs.
• The panels have an integrated fixed narrow joint of 3 mm along the length of the panel. For the head and tail section a 0 or 3 mm joint can be selected.
• The 3mm joint is created with a site-applied self-adhesive EVA tape.
• Intermediate widths are available on request.
• The flatness, the size of the panels and the small butt- joint results in a clean, smooth ceiling design. Especially in the bigger panel dimensions, the ceiling has a monolithic high-end appearance.
