QuadroClad®: The flexible façade with ultimate strength and durability

Super sharp with clean lines, the unique and original Hunter Douglas QuadroClad® system is the perfect façade for any building.

Hunter Douglas has been developing ground-breaking ventilated façade systems for more than 40 years and has used aircraft technology to create its distinctive QuadroClad® system, which encompasses a flat, durable panel with a coil-coated aluminium skin that can be folded or curved to produce undulating façades.

It offers unparalleled flexibility in both panel size – up to 1,500 mm x 6,000 mm as standard – and all the panels are bespoke made for every project, offering designers the opportunity to choose from a wide range of shapes, joint options, materials – aluminium, zinc, copper and stainless steel – as well as finishes and colours to maximise customisation.

It is these qualities that make the QuadroClad® system such a valuable design tool for architects who are looking to create a stunning frontage for any new build or refurbishment project.

Suitable for high-rise or single storey buildings, sloping façades, external soffits, and ceilings, the panels are tested for corrosion resistance, ventilation, fire resistance and wind-load performance – withstanding wind loads up to 3000N/m2, which is more than the wind load produced by a hurricane force 12.

Critically, it is a clean and low-maintenance system, with integrated channels that provide ventilation and rain and condensation drainage behind the cladding surface. And because the system is fixed with simple, adjustable components, installation is quick and simple.

The QC-200 and QC-300 systems comprise aluminium panels that are anodised or painted and are built to be lightweight yet very strong, thanks to the stable metal honeycomb structure that is fitted between two layers of smooth, coil-coated aluminium, which are bonded together with high-quality adhesives.

The QC-200, with visually closed joints, is available in maximum panel sizes of 1,500 mm x 4,500 mm, while the QC-300, with open joints, is available as 1500 mm x 6000 mm panels, making it the ideal façade system for larger surfaces with fewer panels. For another distinctive look, the QuadroClad® system is available in zinc, in five pre-weathered finishes and in sizes 1000 mm x 3,000 mm.

A stunning façade has never been easier to create because the Hunter Douglas system uses the same substructure whether zinc or aluminium panels are being fitted, which means that architects have the freedom to create striking screens using a combination of two, three or all four finishes.

Whether single-designed panels are used for a uniform look or are multi-shaped for an eye-catching look, the options available for the Hunter Douglas QuadroClad® systems are endless.
